IB Extended Essay
Extended Essay là requirement của IB Diploma Programme — bài nghiên cứu độc lập tối đa 4000 từ trong một môn học tự chọn (English A, History, Psychology, Math, v.v.), kèm RPPF reflections 500 từ.
Rubric giải thích
5 criteria: A Focus & Method (6) · B Knowledge (6) · C Critical Thinking (12) — nặng nhất · D Presentation (4) · E Engagement (6, chấm từ RPPF).
A · Focus and Method (0–6)
RQ focused + arguable. Method phù hợp môn học và RQ.
B · Knowledge and Understanding (0–6)
Kiến thức chính xác, academic sources, thuật ngữ môn học.
C · Critical Thinking (0–12)
Đánh giá sources (strengths / limitations), qualify claims, conclusions khớp evidence.
D · Presentation (0–4)
Cấu trúc, citations nhất quán, bibliography đầy đủ.
E · Engagement (0–6)
Chấm từ RPPF — intellectual development qua quá trình nghiên cứu.
Cách tính điểm
Tổng /34. Grade boundaries IBO quy đổi ra grade A–E. Không có RPPF → Revise chỉ chấm A–D (/28).
Note
Vượt 4000 từ → examiners dừng đọc ở 4000. Argument ở kết bài bị bỏ qua.
Khác biệt giữa các band / cấp độ
30–34 (Grade A)
Analysis sustained, sources engaged critically, RQ focused, RPPF reflection sâu.
25–29 (Grade B)
Analysis tốt nhưng đánh giá source không đều.
17–24 (Grade C)
Descriptive hơn analytical; RQ hơi broad.
≤16 (Grade D–E)
Descriptive, sources không academic, method chưa rõ.
